Christmas Wishes #2
What can I say – this is a keeper – a return to book to re-read – a fairytale story ending - a story I will want to read again many times over – a book I am so glad passed through my hands to read and enjoy. AND that said…if I was forty years younger, had no husband or children… and had read this book…I might be on the next plane to New Zealand :)
* Merle Cameron went on holiday from England to New Zealand
* She went to see her sister, Bree and her new husband, Jake
* Jake had a cousin and BFF named Neon…really?...I mean….REALLY…no not really but I mean…can you imagine being named Napoleon? So definitely Neon is a better moniker and this guy is so neon-worthy and unforgettable.
* A man came in on his surfboard on a wave
* saw Merle – what a name to live with and with a Shakespearean backstory!
* And when he fell off the surfboard…at the sight of her…
* Their story began…
* Well…throw in the fact that there is:
- a manipulative mother conniving on another continent
- a time limit to the relationship
- great desire between H/h
- great chemistry
- two larger than life people that deserve a HEA together … and …
All I can say is this is a book that if I had it in hardcopy might reside by my bedside forever…AND if I were looking for a book boyfriend for myself I just might choose Neon…he is the lover/boyfriend I would have loved to have met….decades ago….that said…the NEON I did find and marry has been a great Hero to my story for…almost forty years.
Thank you to Serenity Williams for the ARC – I cannot wait for whatever she writes next – That said – This is my honest review.
