A very entertaining story with continually changing environments and a very enterprising principle character, Gyle Meredon, interstellar police investigator. A fearless action character that is on a first name basis with many influential and entertaining members of society throughout the Galaxy. His normal inclination is to follow his intuition immediately and rely on his physical skills and innate ability to reason to a solution for the many quandaries he places himself in. Early in the story, Meredon finds his daughter abducted from his isolated home while he is being held by a fear of a grenade placed closely to his person. As he contacts his friends he finds his money manager and his family have been removed as well and his assets taken. Now he finds he must find the resources so he may identify who has had reason to disrupt his family and life and be able to find and rescue his daughter and his money manager too. This effort sorely tests his ingenuity, physical and mental capacity as he dashes throughout the universe encountering strange peoples and creatures, always seeking a clue to the identity of his nemesis and the location of his daughter so he may affect a rescue. If it is action you like and a hero that is capable of regularly creating miracles that enable him to extract himself and associates from seemingly imminent death, then you must read this story. Prepare yourselves with a segment of time where you may read without interruption as to be pulled away from this adventure will sorely test your mettle. Give yourself a treat with this book! ( )
