This was very fun at the beginning, with some of the best snappy dialogue I've read in years. Once the intrigue and actual conflict kicked in, it got a touch bogged down (right around the appearance of a certain seminal punk band), but overall, I still enjoyed the hell out of it.

I didn't think I was going to like the art, but Mellon won me over by the end, and now I think it was the best choice for this.

Can we just pause for a moment and hope that the writer's name is actually Dennis Hopeless, and not something he changed it to? Can you imagine growing up with the name "Hopeless"? You're hopeless! Yes, yes I am.

Anyway, I digress. Fun story. Fun art. Excellent dialogue. And a great slap at Trump, five full years before he became the joke we know as the leader of the Untied States of America. (yes, I spelled Untied correctly). ( )

A fascinating look at the nature of love in the modern world and the asshole(s) that have made it that way. This is a great stand alone graphic novel. A unique take on the mythology of love, well told by the artwork. This book is a welcome change from the superhero serializations and overly dramatic true life melodramas that seem to dominate the form. This one is fun and funny and engaging - pick it up! ( )
