Little boy Jeremy's monster creation is coming back! So Jeremy has his friends come up to his room and draw monster friends for Jeremy's monster to play with. I love how this story personifies children creations, I would use the book to get kid thinking creatively and seeing what they can create! Being a fairly simple book I would use it for children ages 4-7 ( )

The Monster Returns is about a little boy who discovers that the monster that he created to emulate himself is coming back to live with him as a result of loneliness. To solve the monster's problem, the boy invited the neighboring children in to draw their own monsters, which they all do in reflection of themselves. Upon arriving, the original monster sees that he now has more monsters to play with, and the whole group has inevitably created many friendships along the way. This is a perfect story to get children involved with problem solving and making new friends, and would be excellent for follow-up monster-creating activities. ( )
