This book teaches the reader all there is to know about butterflies. It talks about their migration, body parts, the stages of their life, and a comparison between butterflies and moths. If a child was learning about a species for a project and wanted to do butterflies, this book is all he or she would need. All of the important information is well explained and there is even a small glossary for words the children may not be familiar with. I would use this book in the classroom to teach the students about the stages of a butterflies life and compare that to the stages of a humans life.

The author provides a great description about the butterflies four stages of their life. The author also provides the readers with information as to where butterflies live, and the migration of the monarch butterfly every year are discussed in the book. ( )
