Pretty good. No misunderstandings - well, one. But solving that didn't solve everything - though it did make it possible for them to consider solutions. Just stubbornness and seeing no way out. I like this series and this is an excellent example. But I really want to read the earlier ones where Joe goes away! Big hole in my understanding here.
Reread - I think I've read all of this series now, though not in order, so I was more familiar with the over-story. And I disagree with my earlier review - there is a misunderstanding, and a persistent refusal to fix it. How many times was Lucas told to _tell_ her he loved her, before he actually got around to it? Annoying. But it's still a Justine Davis, with the usual solid and interesting characters. It also makes me want to reread the full series, in order if possible. And I enjoyed the references to Redstone! ( )
