I wasn't even reading it at Christmas time, but I enjoyed it. Had a lot of humorous scenes. I had read one book in the Dry Creek series, but I didn't really remember it. ( ) Although the story line is a little hard to imagine (cowboys taking a ballet class), I have to say it was worth reading because it made me laugh out loud several times. Just thinking about those scenes makes me smile! Lizette Baker is coming to Dry Creek to open a dance (ballet) studio, but the folks of Dry Creek think she is coming to open a bakery. There is confusion, laughter, romance and a Nutcracker performance like I am sure has never been done before. Far-fetched, you bet, but laughter is good medicine, so you will feel better having read this story. This book is part of the Dry Creek Series. It could easily be read as a stand alone, although if you read the series in order it will help you get to know the characters of the town much better. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
Ballet teacher Lizette Baker's last name had never caused so much confusion! The townspeople thought she was opening a bakery. Instead, she opened Dry Creek's first dance studio. By putting on the Nutcracker with an all-local cast, Lizette hoped to heal the rift and create some Christmas sparkle. No one needed distraction more than Judd's young cousins, whom he was raising and keeping safe from their abusive father. So if they wanted to be in the Nutcracker, Judd would see to it--even if he had to personally guard the door! He was prepared for anything, except for the possibility of Christmas sparkle becoming Christmas love. Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |
