So sad for this series to end! But a fitting end it was. I'll miss you John, Suzie, Cathy, Eddie, Dead Boy, Julien, and all the others. ( )

It was weird, below average in terms of overall series quality, a little nostalgic and to be honest a little too "happy ending" for what i came to expect from this books. ( )

And so ends the saga of the Nightside's own John Taylor. I don't know if this was the ending of the series or merely the closing of a chapter in John Taylor's life, but either way it was satisfying and bittersweet, as all good endings are. ( )

Excellent capper to the Nightside series. Now to wait for summer and the next Drood book to see what comes next...

Important note for newcomers: the Nightside and Drood series cross over significantly, the Haven series gets a cameo nod, the Deathstalker series plays an important role, "Shadows Fall" gets several references, and this book ties his new Ghost Finders series into the mix. While you can read any one series on its own, if you're going to read more than that, it's best to do so in publication order to avoid spoilers. The one exception is that "Shadows Fall" happens after everything else, but is not affected by anything else - so you can read it early to get the references in later books, but there are no spoilers there.
