Lance is the main focus of this book and he has found an additional hidden chamber. He finds out that theirs more quests to go on that were set out by Walt prior to his death. Lance gets involved with the Guardian and his daughter. After the sudden death of the Guardian Lance starts on some adventures with the daughter, Kimberly. He goes to South America at one point. Then Lance and Kimberly end up spending the night in Tarzan's tree house at the park in their search for one of the clues. Great romp through Disney history and a real page turner. Reads like a suspense novel. ( ) The plot from the first book in the series continues where it left off, and takes on a more fantasy tone. Like in the first novel, we have a treasure hunt connected with Walt Disney and the history of Disneyland. For fans of Disney lore, this amusing blend of fact and fiction (which the authors try hard to get right and have many details for a fan to pick up on) generally works well. I'm glad to say that Lance, somewhat annoying in the first book, grows up a bit in this sequel. Some questions are raised in the more fantastic elements of the book which are not going to be answered until the third book (much like the first book, while a complete story, also contained the kernel for the plot of this book). I think this series is an enjoyable romp through Disneyland history. Yes, they add fiction to the fact (no, Walt was not actually frozen at his death, but the authors use that old myth as if it were true), but the facts they use are well researched and blend with their fiction very well. (Just to be clear, I was the editor/proofreader for the third novel in this series--but did not read the first or second novel until after my work was done so that they could see how the book fared without knowledge of the books that came before it, and I am not paid for my review of the books--I'm giving my honest opinion) --KK nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
