Ernest is "a rather large moose," so large that he can't fit inside the book - but he's determined to make it work! With a little cutting and pasting - there's a big fold-out page at the end - Ernest fits perfectly. Goofy and charming, problem-solving at its best. ( )

The moose who doesn't fit. Ernest does not fit into the book. He tries everything and then his friend figures out a way to help him. We have all had that friend who was too short to ride the best ride at the theme park or carnival. So, we all group up and work on ways to make her taller. By putting her hair way up high and making her switch shoes with someone who may have had a thicker sole. As a kid your fear was getting left out. So by having a good group of friends to work hard to make you fit into the book or just make sure your felt included is a great friend.

49 months - O enjoyed this book even though I think it's likely more appropriate for a younger audience. She loved the big fold out. ( )
