BOOK REVIEW:
This is a beautiful short story ~ aching with sadness and loss, but ending with a perfect grace note; balanced and not afraid to let events unfold at their own pace. The author's characters are unmistakably real, and the emotional impact of the tale punches above it's word count. Sims presents an elegant and vivid sketch of what might seem to be a narrow slice of a life, whilst revealing so much. Fantastic.
