Captain Allan Landon happens on a young boy during the Spanish Campaign and discovers that in fact the young boy is a young woman, lost and caught up in a battle. He helps her keep her disguise and ends up rescuing him when he's injured.

When they end up back in London, they find that they're involved in a different war, a war of politics, but they're still attracted to each other and want something else.

It's an interesting story, I enjoyed the read. Allan and Marian were characters I actually liked and cared for through the story. ( )
