- Descrizione:
- The Huber Heights Branch Library first opened in May, 1962, in the Huber Heights Shopping Center on Chambersburg Rd. The library moved to Brandt Pike in 1967, with an expansion in 1979 when the rear wall of the library was taken down to add space for the adult collection. The six millionth item to be checked out in the Dayton Metro Library system was checked out at the Huber Heights Branch in 1991. After the passage of a library levy, the residents of Huber Heights made their wishes known to have one larger library built in the same general location. Taking 21,528 square feet inside Huber Centre shopping center, the library more than doubled in size. The new location opened to the public November 4, 1996. The Huber Heights Branch Library is the busiest branch in the system, second only to the Main Library in circulation statistics.
