I used to own a book of short stories by him but can't remember the name of it and have no idea what happened to it. My mother is refusing to go into the loft to look for it and I'm not good on ladders so this is my best shot at finding a new copy. It had one story called (I think) Who Is Bunny Berrigan? and was about a man whose friend left his wife after years of marriage for a younger woman who was beautiful but didn't get what they talked about when they were all together. It kind of ruined thier friendship because they used to be a foursome with a lot of history together and this new girl just couldn't fit in. There was another one about a boy who got a sought after baseball trading card and sold it to buy his older brother something he needed and one about a divorced father who was too hung over to take his daughter on an amusement park ride on their weekly meeting.

Thanks, that rings a bell so I'm sure you are right.

Can anyone remember another book by Robert Cormier set in some sort of laboratory where the key character doesn't have a sense of taste?
I am sure it is a Cormier book - I read many of his books when I was around 11 or 12 - but I might be wrong...

I know this is ancient history, but I stumbled over it looking for something else. The answer to #4 is The Bumblebee Flies Anyway.
