still in the original wrapping in which it was purchased
Being a catalogue of the works of a French Romantic painter who is not as well-known as he deserves to be. The book is well-produced, but the emphasis is definitely on the catalogue and associated biolgraphical information such as chronologies rather than illustrations, nor is there a great deal of critical insight. Thus the book is not one for browsers.

Pour 3.50 € voilà un petit livre (12 X 21.7 cm, 120 pages) qui en remontre à de plus grands et de beaucoup plus chers.
J'ai compté 103 illustrations (presque toutes en couleurs) dont 58 reproductions (belle surprise que cette qualité !) d’œuvres de Monet (huiles/toile et dessins dont des caricatures de jeunesse), assorties d'une présentation et de commentaires "autorisés" (de Stéphane Guégan). Pour découvrir ou redécouvrir ce grand maître de l’impressionnisme, n'hésitez pas, c'est un régal … ; (en ligne),
