Click, Clack, Moo is the story of a group of barnyard animals that take a typewriter and write notes to the farmer demanding things they need to make their lives better. It almost has an employer/union feel because of the negotiating that goes on. The duck becomes the go-between and acts as arbitrator. The duck finally has his own demands.

I love this book. It's so funny to think about the animals coming up with demands and figuring out a way to get what they want. Their notes are always politely written: "Dear Farmer" and ending with "Sincerely, The Cows." Love the end where we see that the duck gets what he wants without a word (just a picture)!

It might be fun to write a letter, as a class, to ask for something they would like to have in class or maybe a change they would like to see. ( )
