Not a fan of this one. I love the Kindness of strangers but I was annoyed at the random chapter by other characters throughout the book. I wanted to know more about them, but then it went back the main character and her thoughts.

I was expecting much more. A decent read, but not one of my favorites by any stretch. ( )

Bookbox - ABC VBB; The title comes from a church service where the parishioners bring their animals to church to be blessed. But for Veterinarian Cami after her unexpected divorce, her personal and foster animals help her count her blessings and heal. Muriel was quite a cute touch. ( )

A story that kept growing on me - completed in one long rainy day - a veterinarian's husband leaves her and she attaches to other men, until she realizes what is important in her life - I kept expecting the story line to be trite and it surprised me by being more sophisticated than that -- the protagonist grew significantly during the course of the book which was a delight to experience, her relationship with her animals was lovely, and her friends were easy to relate to. Although this wasn't a top book of the year, I enjoyed the characters and was engrossed. ( )

I read this for the Just For Fun Challenge which encourages reading one book that has been on the TBR shelf for a long time and without doing a review. I still rated this book though and I loved it. ( )
