Leslie walked away from the Dark Court, determined to reclaim her life and live it on her own terms, even if it meant leaving behind the two faeries who love her. She knows Niall and Irial watch over her, and she would give almost anything to keep them from hurting, but she resists the pull to be with either one of them.… (altro)

I was very excited to get more story from Leslie and her Dark Kings. While the ending was still bittersweet, I felt more closure this time around than I did with Ink Exchange. Because of that, I'm very glad that Marr decided to give us this little novella. I'm looking forward to reading the other novella that takes place after Ink Exchange as well. ( )

Pretty light stuff, but it was nice to see Irial act less selfishly. Although is a total bad-boy and I like him like that. At least a little something letting us know a few things before the next Wicked Lovely book comes out. ( )

I'm still reading the Wicked Lovely series, so it's made it past the two-book test. Marr dips back into Leslie's storyline with Stopping Time, a novella-slash-epilogue to Ink Exchange.

I was surprised by how much I liked it; I like it more than the novel that preceded it, honestly, maybe because there's way more Niall than Irial in this one. ( )

I read "Wicked Lovely" and "Ink Exchange" quite awhile ago. I am ready to move onto the rest of the series but I read somewhere that this short story comes before those so I read it. Leslie is human but she has attracted both the main men of the Dark Court, Irial and Niall. Niall is a kind of nice bad guy and Irial is supposedly the nastiest of the bad guys. By bad guys, I don't truly believe they are, we certainly get to see them have more sides and emotions to their personalities. But the Dark Court doesn't have a problem with hurting people if they must...Irial feeds on these pained emotions. Leslie knows that she 'could' fit in with the Dark Court but she is horrified by the idea and she has begged them to leave her be in the human world.

In "Ink Exchange" Leslie's brother had done something truly horrendous. This short deals with both him and with how Leslie is doing away from the court. And away from her men. I don't know that this short should be $1.99. That seems just a little high. $.99 might be more appropriate. But the story is still very much worth reading. There is a point to it. The characters are still fleshed out and real. I keep wanting to call them 'human' in their emotions but I guess for two out of the three main characters here that isn't true! I thought this story was a great refresher to the series up to the point where I left it. It made me very eager to jump back into the series and finish it. ( )

A quick little visit into the world of Marr's Wicked Lovely series. Fun to see a few characters again, but it didn't add much to the over all story. ( )
