I am older than the target audience for this book. I remember the Care Bears but I think I was older than their target audience when they first came out, so I really didn't know much about them until I read the introductory pages of another Tale from the Care Bears book that introduced the bears and what they represented.

In this book, Timothy is acting out at school and Friend Bear helps him understand why school is important and find ways to make the lessons interesting or relatable and how to make friends (by smiling rather than making faces). ( )
