Disney returns to rich, beautiful hand-drawn animation in their 39th animated feature film, which is the first to feature an African American princess. We meet Tiana, a hardworking waitress trying to make ends meet in 1920s New Orleans. She moonlights as a jazz singer, whose stage persona is a princess. And when the spoiled Prince Naveen (who has been turned into a frog by the scheming Dr. Facilier) arrives to kiss a princess, he figures Tiana is the closest he'll get. Well, there are complications, as the kiss turns Tiana into a frog. Together Tiana and Naveen make their way through the bayou to find the good voodoo priestess Mama Odie. They're helped along on their journey by a trumpet-playing alligator and a hopelessly romantic firefly. With more than 60 reusable stickers of all the hilarious (and notorious) characters, young princesses will love to read about the story and recreate their favourite scenes from the movie.
