Sydafrika og Israel sprængte en lille bombe på en sydafrikansk ø langt væk fra alting og med næsten evigt overskyet vejr, men der var alligevel hul nok i skydækket til at det blev opdaget af en amerikansk Vela satellit. Nedrustningen efter den kolde krig har betydet destruktion af titusindvis af bomber og bombemateriale.
Det er et godt gæt at det ikke er så svært at lave bomber, hvis man har højt beriget uran - HEU. Men ellers er det ret svært.
