In these three stories, Poppleton goes to the beach with his friend Hudson, has a problem with dry skin (it's really sweater lint), and eats grapefruit to live to be 100 - until his friend Hudson produces his Uncle Bill, who reveals that the real secret to living to 100 is friends. ( )

Really sweet, but not quite as lively as Rylant's other series, inc. Cherry Sue, the llama, isn't featured in this one as much as I recall her being so in some others. ( )

A pig named Poppleton and his friends Hudson share a day together at the beach, with Sherry Sue he asked her for advice on wwhat to do with dry skin, and how to live a happy life to Hudson. It is a lovely book with three short fictional stories about Poppleton and his friends. The illustrator used oil paint, water paint and ink for the pictures. ( )
