A classic introduction to the age-old spiritual disciplne of keeping a journal. Down to earth discussion of the nuts and bolts of starting and sustaining regular journal entries, as well as discussions of the benefits that one can receive through this practice. (

Not just another book on keeping a journal or keeping notes on scripture. I bought this book in April, 2009 and it is always close by, it is one of my favorite books to read on journals and life. I would like to point out a chapter or two that stand out, however, I've read this book cover to cover at least 3 times finding something new to think about with each reading. Thought provoking & motivating, the author does allot more that give a topic with a few short notes so I've given it a five star:) (

This excellent tool for beginning journal writers as well as veterans discusses spiritual development vis-a-vis self-development, the nuts-and-bolts of starting (when, how often, what sort of notebook), types of entries, and ways journal writing can help in goal setting or time management, sticking to a devotional program, or learning from the past (ECD, Library Journal).
