I enjoyed this but it's not a book I'd read again and I think it's a book that you have to be in the mood for. A mystery set in New York's Greenwich Village the characters are quirky and there many references to drugs, alcohol and homosexuality. In terms of the later the book is a bit dated, written in 1986. The mystery is good though as is the writing. (

There's not much of a plot to "Greenwich Killing Time", just lots of one liners and observations on life by Kinky Friedman, otherwise most famous for his evergreen children's song "Old Ben Lucas". If you've read any of Kinky's books you'll know how this one will turn out. (

Geweldige oneliners, Graucho Marx stijl...Onderhoudend verhaal maar geen brilliante whodunnit...

One of his earlier works. Good, but maybe not so good as his later stuff. Almost gets a little preachy on the whole cocaine angle. Not as wise-ass as his others either. But still fun. (
