When the evil Magus and his sisters track down Ian and Theo at their orphanage and send a cyclone to destroy them, they barely escape with their lives. The earl decides to take Ian, Theo, and Carl along with him and the professor to Spain to research the prophecies left to Ian by the oracle Laodamia 2000 years ago. But Magus's servants also track them down, trying to steal the prophecies.

This action-packed sequel to Oracles of Delphi Keep answers a few mysteries from the previous book but also raises several more mysteries. I cannot wait to read the further adventures of Ian and Theo. ( )

Fantastic second book in the series. It's really a children's book, but I love the relationship between Ian and his fellow orphans. The story now takes us on the search for the next jewel box. A tornado sweeps across the channel from France and almost gets Javeed and Theo killed. After being chased by Hellhounds, they go through the portal in search of the Healer because a new orphan brought Polio to the Keep. They end up in Poland and, as always, narrowly escape the evil villains. Ian let's the Earl know that Poland is being invaded by German. So I guess WWII will be official shortly. If you like the Harry Potter series you will like this one also. So many unanswered questions, and so many new ones, so I'm sure there will be a few more books in this series. ( )
