Diary of a Wimpy Kid is a book set as a diary for a boy named Greg Huffley. Greg is a middle schooler who explores the dynamic of going to a new school, mean siblings, embarrassing parents, and a forbidden moldy cheese. One of the interesting aspects of this book is that the protagonist, Greg, highlights behaviors that are often selfish and irresponsible. This allows readers to vicariously live out these negative behaviors (plus they’re very entertaining to read). This book would be great as a light-read addition to a classroom library. This book is also a part of a large series of books that will entertain readers for a good amount of time. ( )

These books are VERY funny. I would recommend this to students who just want a fun book to read. Also a good idea to get students to write in a journal. With reflections and daily activities. ( )

What a great series of books to get children involved in reading. Easy to read and understand. Children are excited for the next book to read. My oldest son has read all of these books. He is able to finish each book in one day.

Greg Heffley is a wimp so middle school will be horror ( )
