Formal book review Name of Reader: Sarah Tuemmler Title of book: Let's Fly Wilbur and Orville WORD 1: INVENTION WORD 2: FLYING I chose these words because this book is all about the Wright brothers and what they were like as boys. It is about how they went from opening a bicycle shop to becoming the first brothers to guy in 1903. They successfully flew the first airplane so I put invention as one of the key words because they invented the airplane and successfully flew the first plane. They have a passion for being able to fly a plane so that is why I put flying as my second word. Invention and flying, the two biggest words that the Wright brothers are known for to this day. This is what makes this book so interesting. We get to learn what the Wright brothers were like as boys and what sparked their interest in inventing and flying. In this biographical book, we are told the life story of Wilbur and Orville Wright. These two brothers grew up in Dayton with their two parents. Their father was a minister who had to travel a lot for work. Growing up, Orville loved to invent new things and use or sell those things to make money. He had opened many businesses that often didn't last very long. Eventually, Wilbur and Orville opened a bike shop, where they invented new bicycle models and sold them for a reasonable price. After they were getting tired of building bikes, they decided they wanted more of a challenge, so they began to plan to make a flying machine, something no one had ever done before. This took a lot of trial and error, and moving from location to location in order to perfect the flying machine, but eventually it was done and they were able to fly people in the sky for an extended period of time. They became famous in many countries. Eventually, Wilbur caught typhoid fever and died when her was in his 40's. His brother still continued to fly, and was alive long enough to see flights all over the world. This is a early chapter book that tells the biographies of Wilbur and Orville Wright. It starts with the birth of Wilbur Wright and goes on to tell the birth of Orville Wright. It goes on to tell their story of growing up in multiple cities with the reverend father and sweet, quiet mother. Starting from a young age the brothers always were taking machines apart and learning how they work. So growing up it was only natural that they would move on to bigger machines and learn how they operate and eventually invent their own machines. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
