My Friend Isabelle explains the friendship between a boy and a little girl who happens to have down syndrome. Charlie embraces the differences and allows Isabelle to be herself and even lets her teach him a thing or two. I appreciate that the book doesn't mention her disability, because a disability shouldn't define who you are. Despite disabilities, children are just children. This is a story about two children, Charlie and Isabelle. Charlie knows that Isabelle is different, yet he still enjoyed playing with her as he does with any other kid that is "normal". This a great a great book for younger child to use to learn about acceptance for other children that have disabilities. In this case, Isabelle has down syndrome and they are helping make the world a better place by tolerating each other and accepting their differences. My Friend Isabelle is told by a little boy named Charlie. He talks about his friendship with Isabelle, a little girl with down syndrome. Charlie says the even though he and Isabelle are different, they still like to do many things together. Isabelle's disability is shown in a positive light. The book focuses on how differences can make the world a better place. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
