It continues to grow and add surroundings to the original house in the first page. It shows that things can change around you, but somethings can still stay the same. Popville could describe any city or town, don't they all pop up almost overnight? Popville uses a unique method for a pop-up book, the original building remains, as do all new buildings though a series of clever openings adding more and more buildings until suddenly, POP! there's a city! My favorite pop-up is the first lone church in the woods at the end of a road, so peaceful! This pop-up book opens with a rural setting of grass and trees and a lone farmhouse and, over five more two-page spreads, shows the site’s architectural and infrastructural development into a crowded city. What struck me was how gradual the development was, until some sort of tipping point where it grew exponentially. Good pop-ups but not much to the book. You can watch a 1-minute video of the book here (audio alert). nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

Successive pop up scenes show the progress as a rural area is built up into a busy city, in a book that encourages young readers to imagine how a city is built and what the people who live there would need. Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |
