I'm sure it's an excellent book, but it's so long I couldn't focus on any particular section or recipe. Would probably be an excellent book to own, cause you could cook out of it for years! They also list their preferred equipment and ingredient brands in the back. ( )

If you could only own one cookbook, this would be the one you should choose. With hundreds of recipes for all different types of foods, it would take years just to try them all once. My wife and I have tried dozens of recipes from this book in the past year, and all but two have resulted in better-than-restaurant-quality food. (The other two weren't bad, just "okay.") From fettuccine alfredo to chocolate-chip cookies to orange chicken (and many, many more), this cookbook has turned our simple kitchen into a gourmet dining establishment for our family. I highly recommend this cookbook for anyone who prepares food at home. ( )
