The book is this boy going to all of his friend’s houses and he talks about how great all of their parents are and how they let his friends do different things. At the end he realizes even though his parents don’t let him do some things, they re perfect and he wouldn’t trade them. I really liked this book because of the message that it sends. The main message of this book shows that other families and parents may be different than yours but at the end of the day you are lucky to have the family you do and they will be there for you no matter what. For example, “But my mom puts a note in my lunch box every day. And my dad reads to me every night. And on weekends, we all go for a bicycle ride. I wouldn’t trade my parents. I KNOW they’re the best.” Would I Trade My Parents? was a humorous book that conveyed the message that you should appreciate what you have and find the positives in people. Two reasons why I liked this book was the illustrations and how it pushes readers. The illustrations were extremely vibrant and elaborate. For example, the ways in which the characters were drawn were realistic with extra colors. This book pushes readers to not compare your life to others. In other words, you should appreciate everything you have. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
