The second book by the Hales starring Rapunzel and titular Calamity Jack.

Intriguing steampunk mashup of Jack the Giant Killer and various and sundry other faerie tale figures. Loads of fun for anyone eight or older. ( )

This was super fun. I honestly didn't realize it was the second one in a series until after I was done. So it's virtually stand-alone. The Hales reimagined traditional fairy tale characters and creatures into this cool steampunk world.

And Rapunzel does very much kick ass, so Janet should be happy.

I'll definitely be picking up the first one, and any others the Hales decide to write. ( )

Not spectacular. But it has it's moments. Too much action, definitely, and not as much quirky fun. ( )

I believe this is PT. 2 of Rapunzel's Revenge and I really enjoyed this spin off as well. I liked how they used the support characters as the main one this time. Overall I think the authors did a really good job with the 2nd book and the story line I feel like I understood more after I read the 1st. ( )

I liked Rapunzel's Revenge but there was something off about it for me. Calamity Jack isn't off at all - great characters and an excellent story with a steampunk/fractured fairy tale kind of vibe to it. Nathan Hale's artwork here is clean and expressive. Tons of humour and action. ( )
