I loved it. I didn't want it to end. I wouldn't mind have a Blade of my own. I love this series and can't wait to get to the next book. I can see my book budget getting way out of hand real soon. I loved the plot, characters, the emotion of all those involved and I especially like that characters in previous books continue to show up in future books. If you like Domination and submission in your stories you have to read this book. 2014, September 27 I am glad that Ms. Brooke decided to write Blade Royal’s book as soon as she did. I liked Blade in the first book in this series DESIRE FOR THREE. He is one of those take charge males that are few and far between anymore. He is also a compassionate and caring individual that takes abuse and rape of women very seriously. I love that he has classes to teach others the difference between abuse and erotic pain. Yes, there is a difference. I also love that Blade is concerned enough about a man that is hurting the woman that Blade goes to meet with the man to talk some sense into him. The one thing that I wish Ms. Brooke had done was give more of a back ground about Blade. It would have been interesting to see were this fierce protective instinct came from. Finally his patient in wooing Kelly made my heart melt. He understood so well haw to build her confidence and make her feel protected and safe. Kelly Jones moved to Desire when Jesse moved their business so Jesse could be close to her husbands. Kelly was in an abusive relationship with a psychopath. When Kelly first moves to Desire she is skittish and won’t let any of the men touch her including Blade. She is attracted to Blade from the beginning even though she fights that attraction in the beginning. However, Blade’s slow courtship has won Kelly heart and she realizes that she needs to find out if they can be together. She makes a wild proposition to submit to anything Blade wants to do to her. This is where the trouble begins. Kelly is sure that Blade can never love her and Blade is unsure if Kelly really loves him or is just using him for sex. Since trust and truth is the foundation for these types of relationships both of these people should have known better. This is a very good story that I enjoyed very much. There is more BDSM in this story than there was in the first book. So those that are put off by spanking, bondage and anal sex should probably avoid it. This is an m/f story. The love scenes in this story are well written and steamy. This would be a great book to read in the winter in front of a fire. You would be toasty in no time. I could look forward to each new book in this series. Kelly comes to Desire with her business partner to start over and to escape an abusive ex-husband. As time passes, she begins to fear that she'll never be able to trust a man again, and she really wants to trust sexy Dom Blade. She knows she's falling in love with him, but can she overcome the fear bred from abuse and rape in order to live the lifestyle he enjoys?I'd actually give this book a 3.5, and that's because I reall did like Blade and Kelly. Brooke gives us insight into both characters thoughts, so it's easy to understand their actions. Blade makes a stupid move that almost destroys his chance at a relationship with Kelly, but in the end everything works out. I gues having smart men make stupid mistakes is going to be a pattern in Brooke's stories. In Desire for Three she had Clay and Rio do something so dumb that they almost lost Jesse. I'm going to read the third book in this series to see if Brooke goes beyond that technique.I did like the story, and as I mentioned, I liked the characters. I just wish Brooke would correct some mistakes in her writing. I've seen the same mistakes in both books, so I know that they weren't just a one-time "oops." I understand that in fiction many grammatical conventions are broken for the sake of flow and dialect, but it's annoying when basic mistakes are made. The occasionaly typo doesn't bother me. That may not be the author's fault, but a basic knowledge of grammar and usage should be expected. I know I've said this before, but I'm going to say it again. First, people really should know when to use "me" instead of "I." Overcorrecting and using the wrong pronoun distracts the reader from the story. Secondly, everyone should know something as simple as the difference between the words "among" and "between." It's so elementary. You only use "between" when you are talking about two people. "Among" is used with three or more. I'm sure these issues don't bother most people, but they bother me. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

Her body demands relief so she makes a bargain that has her putting her trust and her body in Blade's hands for the next six weeks. Kelly fights to hide her love from him, not knowing he's already determined to make her his own. Blade knows she has hidden passions that are a perfect match for his own. He only has to show them to her. *** "I've always loved alpha males who know how to treat a woman. Of course, such men would have very strong ideas of what they want and how to get it. Those who are Doms or want a menage relationship may want to live where such things were the norm. And what woman wouldn't want to live where they're adored?" Very emotional story. Kelly has been through a lot and Blade was rather arrogant at times. In the end he was able to show his heart and get his feelings in order.
A definite favorite of mine! ( )
