Rather a disappointment. The biographies are very brief, and not always accurate. One thing which was particularly annoying was that while the subtitle is "Women of Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show," not all the women featured were part of the show. The author seems very fuzzy on the difference between Buffalo Bill's Wild West and his theatrical troupe, the Buffalo Bill Combination, which performed before his Wild West show was founded in 1883. Many of the biographies were padded out with fictionalization, which was also irksome. ( )
