This is an exciting tale about a 13 year old boy that takes on a mountain (and all the rumors of evil that occurs there) to try to save his father. As he learns more about life on the mountain, his mission becomes more than he thought possible. This is an enjoyable read you won’t forget! There are actually versions of this book that are in blue ink. Unfortunately I don’t have a copy. But that goes to show you how very special this story really is. The Blue Shoe is a tale of thievery, villains, sorcery and of course one little blue shoe. A great fantasy that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the last page with both good and evil plots, a little bit of romance and something for both boys and girls alike. The story begins in a small shoemaker’s shop in the town of Aplanap where a beautiful blue shoe sits in the window. The stranger that wanted the shoe to be made never came back to reclaim it. Hap, who is our main character is 13 years old and an orphan living with the shoemaker, Grel, who has created this magnificent shoe. Together the two work together to barely make ends meet. In the town of Aplanap the mayor arrests citizens who are poor or begging on the streets and sends them to the nearby mountain called, Mount Xexnax. But why are so many people arrested and what are they doing over on this strange snowy mountain. Are they dead? One day Hap is arrested for helping an one-eyed beggar girl and sent away to none other than Mt. Xexnax. But instead the plot thickens as Hap discovers that there is more to this mountain. He is reunited with his father, learns a deep dark secret and is introduced to little blue-skinned trolls called Auki’s. A fabulous must read for summer! nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

I liked this book. A mysterious blue shoe is in a cobbler's shop. Everyone who sees it wants it. And just what is happening on the mysterious mountain that overlooks the village? ( )
