3505. 1939 The Making of the Second World War, by Sidney Aster (read 30 Nov 2001) This is a 1973 book detailing, mainly from a British viewpoint, the events from Mar 15, 1939, to Sept 3, 1939. The account of the final weeks before the war started are fascinating and well-told herein.
