Little Mouse is one of our preschooler's favorite books. What started as my attempt to introduce him to graphic novels and comics has resulted in his having memorized much of the book. Highly recommended for the kiddios. ( )

Little Mouse gets ready, narrating his progress step by step: underwear, pants, socks and shoes, a shirt with difficult buttons. Are you ready? Mama mouse calls from off the page, and when she comes to find out what's taking so long, she delivers the punchline: mice don't wear clothes! Funny, cute, and a great example of a simple comic to use for teaching. ( )

This is a super cute book that follows a baby mouse who gets told by his mom that they are going to go run errands so he quickly starts getting ready by putting on clothes and shoes and after much struggling gets reminded by his mom that mice don't wear clothes... This book is an easy read and very funny so I would definitely keep it in my class library for students to read when they need a brain break or as an introduction to graphic novels. ( )

I really enjoy Jeff Smith as an author already, and I just recently discovered the Toon Into Readings, and I think they not only show getting dressed which is highly relatable in small children who are also learning to dress themselves, and I think that the big pictures and words allow for an easy read that allows for comprehension as well. Overall I also think the end of the book how to read is also a great resource ( )
