You name it, this book has it. From clothing to tools, from vegetables to clothing, items are listed as to what type and then broken down into styles. Find out what the inside of a ship or locomotive looks like. See how a house is constructed and even what the inside of a castle is like. This book is fun to read when you don’t need an answer.

No one should be without this book in his or her home library. ( )

This is the "Multilingual Edition" (English, Spanish, French, German). Soon after I bought this book, I realized that the same editors came up with "The Firefly Five-Language Visual Dictionary" (0-02-578115-4). Both books use the same set of digital images. It appears that the images either originally came from, or ended up at this
Canadian site, which licences them:

Even though there are a few pages in this 4-language edition that are not in the 5-language edition, I highly recommend that you pick the latter. Besides offering another language (Italian), it has a large number of new images (25,000 terms in this one, 35,000 in the Firefly).
Strangely, the list price for this volume is higher than that of the Firefly. Steer clear (unless the price is right)!
