I do go through phases of what I like to read within the romance genre (scottish, vampires, virgin heroines, tough ladies...), so maybe my opinion will change, but I am loving this series! Lots of hot aggressive sex, tough-ass heroine, adorable and giant hero. Funny dialogue. I'm burning through these books. Definitely not Nobel material, it's a fun if not deep read. (

Listened to audio, narrated by Kasha Kensington.
Miki is a genious and a little (lot) crazy. She stops to visit her friend Sara on her way give her final dissertation and Conall is determined to have her. The way she antagonizes the shifters cracks me up.

Conall has it bad for Miki ever since he first laid eyes on her. She's mean and he loves it. They are funny and completely outrageous. When she is attacked he follows her as she goes to Seattle for her dissertation to keep her safe despite her best efforts to shake him loose. She's a flake, scared that Conall won't stick so she keeps him at arms length, but he's determined to win her.

I've read this before and it still makes me laugh every time. I love that Conall wasn't intimidated by smarts, nor was she intimidated by his strength. There are also cameos of characters from the 'Pride' series. If you like snarky, you'll enjoy this book.
