So, in comparison to the original Circle series, it definitely isn't as good. However, I do think it's interesting to see how the story plays out. I would say also that it does seem to stay in true Circle fashion by twisting things back around to what seems to be the beginning.

The main thing I loved about it was the spiritual message underlying it all. That is to love everyone no matter how repulsed we are by them. And that everyone has the ability to change and become a better person, they just have to be the ones to make the choice. ( )

In the last book, Elyon, Johnis finds himself back in his world, and out of the world we know today. After the 5 year journey that he makes from our world of high technology, he goes back to his and finds that much has changed since his absence. now, the horde has taken over the forest, and the forest guard are gone. he finds out that they have fled after a terrible defeat. they are now in hiding from the relentless slaughter from the horde. Elyon shows him that he loves bot albino and horde, and that they come together and learn to love each other. along with some friends, he fights the horde in one last epic battle between good and evil, and it opens him up to a whole new world. One where there is no evil...only Elyon.
I think the author of this book,Ted Dekker, did a FANTASTIC job of wrapping this series up. it is a good religious book, showing evil and good, and it show God through another world known by a different name. it was a good ending, and it was very inspirational. i would give this book a 5 star rating. i would say that it is my favorite book out of this series. i would recommend to my friends. i would also recommend it to people who more religious than others, because it does a good job of intertwining fantasy and religion into a book kids would enjoy reading. it is definitely on my top 5 favorite books list. The conclusion to the 'Lost Books' series. Somehow, I didn't enjoy the book before this (book 5: Lunatic) nor this one. The first 4 seem to make a complete enough set on their own, and these last two seemed somewhat disjointed and somewhat chaotic, too.

This series lost steam. While I enjoyed the last two, the whole episode with Shaeda was too exaggerated to be enjoyed. The finale by the river was disappointing and did not adequately resolve the various plots. ( )
