The youngest brother of three shows his wit in this hilarious french folktale. He sought to marry the princess after the kind made a grand announcement for a competition. He won but not being of noble birth, the ing tries everything to get his daughter out of the engagement. But always a step ahead the young boy outwits the king and makes a fool of him. In the end, he marries his princess and they both lived happily ever after. The author used watercolors to illustrate the story and the most appealing thing about it was the characters' facial expressions. You can really see the king's frustration and the smugness on our protagonist face. An easy read that children will cry laughing. ( )

A major theme in this book is to be kind to everyone. Another theme is persistence is key, if the youngest brother would have given up after the first task the king gave him, he would have never gotten the princess' hand in marriage. ( )

Three Perfect Peaches is a traditional fairy tale told in the traditional style of writing. The first saying of the book is “Long ago in a faraway Kingdom,” which reminds me of the classic fairytales that everyone knows. The theme of the book is to be honest and good things happen to you. The youngest brother showed the old woman what he had in his basket so he was the only one able to bring the princess peaches. He told the truth in the end and was able to marry the princess. ( )

The folktale the perfect peaches is a story about a sick princess needing a cure. The cure that is needed are three peaches. The king offers whomever can bring the three peaches to cure the princess marriage. When the princess is cured and the one to cure her is a poor country boy, the king disapproves. He makes one more challenge to the boy before he marries the princess. For this challenge, the king does everything in his power to make the boy fail. The boy outplays the king and marries the princess. The style of this story is based on some figurative language. Figurative language was used when the author compared some parts of the story like the rabbits coming to him in a single line, saluting smartly, and marching behind the youngest brother like soldiers following their commander. Imagery was also presented. The author explained things in details so enough details will be presented to form a mental picture. ( )

Three Perfect Peaches is a retelling of a fairytale about a princess who wants perfect may peaches. The message in this fairytale is to always be honest to get what you want. This would be a cute book to read to children in a lesson on fairytales. ( )
