The book talks about how do someone feel and how to figure out what they are, and also talks about the body and how the body reacts to those feelings. It discusses the different emotions that you might feel and how you might be able to get through the feelings. This is important for children going through puberty and before where there are feelings that are taking place which happens before puberty. This is important to help kids understand why they might feel and help them to understand that it is okay. There are strategies given to help children with these emotions and learn to maintain their feelings. The age range for this book is 9-12 years and can be used for any student who may going through some emotions and feelings that they can't quite understand, because this will help them feel understood and be able to learn to understand themselves more. While also learning how to maintain and identify their emotions. ( )

The Feeling Book is a wonderful book that could help girls with their emotions. This book helps girls to understand that their emotions are very normal to be up one moment and then crash down the next. There is also a chapter on "Help!" which helps girls deal with fear, anger, jealousy, ect. The author helps girls to understand that they are in charge of their emotions. There are colorful quotes, multiple choice questions, and cartoon illustrations that help to keep the girls intrested. This is a very helpful book for girls in many differnet areas of there lives. I recommend this one completely.

An extension of this book would be to have group discussions about the different subjects that the book covers or to have the girls read and then to journal their feelings.

Feelings the care of our emotions, grades 3-8 will read about tips for girls on fear, anger, jealously, We learn that we are in charge of our emotions. Readers are shown how to identify and what to do about certain emotions. Includes a few multiple choice questions along with good reliable advice.

A book that explains that it is normal to have a whirlwind of feelings, Madison gives the reader advice on how to handle them. The Feelings Book guides the reader through the physiology of negative feelings and ends the book with the positive. Each chapter identifies how to understand and deal with all the feelings that someone can undergo and even gives helpful tips of how to stay in charge of their emotions and their actions to those emotions. The book contains cartoon-like illustrations, inspirational quotes, and even multiple choice questions. This book would is a good edition to have in a classroom library and could even be referenced in class discussions. Each page is filled with reliable and useful advice for everyone. ( )
