Summary: Passed out 12 m&m's to each kid. Adds up one by one of the candy till you reach 12. Then asked to make different shapes with them, they ask to put the candy in different sets: like 2 sets of 6, 3 sets of 4. When you're ready for the subtract part you start eating them.

Personal Reactions: Love this book. I remember reading this book as a kid in school. Since it's to due with candy you know that the kids will be more into it. I also like on almost every page it gives compliments to the kids when they do it right.

Classroom Extension: Bring in the book with the candy for the kids to read out loud with me and count all together. By having the candy and giving the candy away, you will know that you have their attention. This book taught me and I would love to teach kids with it. ( )
