A timeless book about a boy and his dog. This story is a great read for students in grades first through third about hard work, responsibility and a bond with his dog. The Paperboy wakes up early each morning with his dog as his sidekick to deliver papers. He knows his route by heart and his dog looks forward to being done with their job, so he can go back to bed. Students will be able to relate to this book as they make connections with their own chores they might do at home. ( )

It made me feel very old that I had to explain about paperboys to my kids, but we can call it a history lesson?
