This was one of my son's favourite books when he was young. Very simple, but he loved it. ( )

Red is Best is a story about a young, opinionated girl who insists all her favorite things are red. He mother wants her to use the other items that are better for the purpose (even though they're not red): the blue jacket because it's too cold for the red one, the brown mitts because they don't have holes like the red ones, the pink barrettes because they match better than the red. But the little girl is persistent - he loves all her red things. The purpose of this book is to help young readers understand opinions. The title clearly states an opinion and the book provides supports for why the girl has that opinion. The story encourages readers to form their own opinions and have reasons why they have them. ( )

We all have that one item we love to wear and feel great in, this little girl loves red and when she wears red she can do things bigger and better.

25 months - Apparently a classic book by a Canadian author. I fun color book and I certainly enjoyed the humor of a small child obsessing over everything of one color. ( )

Summary: Kelly loves the color red! The whole book is about Kelly only wanting to wear the color red.

Personal reflection: I understand about having a favorite article of clothing that I always wanted to wear when I was younger.
