Aside from the fact that the pacing was a bit fast, a ton was covered in this book and there was never a dull moment. If you’ve gotten this far you certainly won’t be disappointed now. ( ) I give this only one star because the author made some terrible factual errors and I am only one third through the book. Labienus was not just some commander in Greece. He had been Caesar's best general in Gaul. In fact, he survived Greece and went on to fight Caesar in Africa and the final battle in Spain. He was probably Caesar's major foe in the Civil War. Also, Brutus was never Caesar's lead general in Gaul. Also. Julia was not still alive. She was Caesar's daughter and Pompey's wife. Her death before the Civil War helped create the estrangement between Pompey and Caesar. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
