The apostle Paul challenges all of us to build a worthy house on the foundation that is Jesus Christ. That building is built on the things that are said and done. How well that it is built will be revealed in the future. And Paul gives guidelines to help determine the kind of "superstructure" being built. Scripture sets forth these guidelines for self-examination for the here and now, while there is still time to make the needed changes. Since all believers will undergo the test of "fire" at the judgment, it is a good idea to use "fire-proof" materials. These are found in the passage of First Corinthians chapter three.
