This book is a very fun read. It uses colorful illustrations with examples to demonstrate the idea that dreaming is important. When showing fun and imaginative dreams, the illustrations are colorful and whimsical, but when showing people who have lost "all possibility of thinking super things," the illustrations are minimal and comparatively less colorful. When showing the dreams of those who only wish to own things, the illustrations are just whatever that item is, covering the entire page, demonstrating how limiting and redundant those wishes are. The message is very motivating: to keep dreaming no matter what, even for those who have stopped, because dreams are important and can change the world.
This is a great message for children and would definitely come across as motivation to think up some new and different ideas. ( )

An awesome book for bedtime. This story is all about the wonderful dreams you should have. The book is very colorful and creative artwork. The text is simple but yet encouraging. The art itself tells the story though. Its so detailed. In one part of the book they have different kinds of animals flying with wings they attached to them. I love this book because a young child's imagination is so strong I feel like they would really like it. The theme of the story is to of course dream big. I think for a student the concept of dreaming big is important because you can dream about candy all the way to being a doctor. Imagination is endless and that's what I enjoyed about this creative story. Would I read this as a meaningful lesson in school? Probably not. But, it is a fun book to read. ( )

Das Super Buch! ist ein Bilderbuch mit ein bisschen Text. Es geht darum, wie wichtig Träume sind, dass man auf sie aufpassen sollte und keinesfalls aufhören darf zu träumen. Die Zeichnungen sind quietschbunt, oft kleinteilig und vor allem sehr phantasievoll, daher gibt es immer wieder Seiten, auf denen ganz viel zu entdecken ist, Dinge, die ich kaum beschreiben kann, aber gerne mal gemeinsam mit einem Kind erkunden würde.
Das Super Buch ist zwar ein Buch, das auch kleinen Kindern Spaß machen wird, die Seiten sind allerdings aus normalem, nur etwas dickeren Papier, so dass es sich wohl eher zum gemeinsamen Durchblättern, Betrachten, Besprechen empfiehlt. Dabei wird auch den Großen der Spaß nicht abhanden kommen, weil bestimmt lange jedes neue Lesen andere Dinge entdecken lässt. Wie in schönen Träumen ist auch in diesem Buch viel zu entdecken. (wie wäre es mit einer Runde "Ich sehe was, was Du nicht siehst"?) Ganz nebenbei erinnert es - manchmal vielleicht ein bisschen zu arg - daran, was passiert, wenn man verlernt zu träumen. Ein super Buch für Groß und Klein. ( )
