I didn't read the whole thing (I did skim the other chapters) but this book is just not useful to adults with dyslexia. I read the first two chapters, explaining the basics, then the chapters on adult dyslexia and dyslexia in college but I found no information useful in the other chapters. In addition, much of the context was country-specific (only applicable to the US). All I got out of it was a website I intend to look up. It is not that no one will benefit from this book, but clearly it was the wrong book for me. ( )

There is a ton of stuff in this book and it can easily be used as a reference book, where the reader can go to the pertinent chapter for information. The version I read was published in 2006 and it is somewhat out of date, particularly in terms of websites and technology assistance. Personally I felt like there was too much information overall - it would be easier to digest the information if it had been presented in a more streamlined fashion - but I can see other readers enjoying the more chatty feel of the book.
