I liked "Come Look with Me: Latin American Art" for several reasons. First, the language was very descriptive and clear; the descriptions and artist biographies tell the reader why the artist created the respective work. The descriptions of the art guides the reader as they view an example of the artwork. The writing is organized with the intent of guiding the reader through each example. On the top of each page, there are thinking questions that further guide the reader's thinking. The illustrations are vital to the artwork, as they are described by the text, and are the focus of the book. As this is also an informational book, the main idea is to teach the readers about Latin American art, the individual artists, and why each piece shown in the book was created. ( )
